Guild Spotlight

Guild Gift Grants

All student organizations and campus departments are eligible to apply for grants of $500 to $5,000 for approved projects and initiatives. After applications are collected in March, the Guild votes and announces grant recipients in October. Since the 1930s, the Guild has given more than $3,000,000 in grant funds.

Guild Scholarships

The Guild’s scholarship program awards more than $80,000 annually to relatives of current Guild members who demonstrate financial need, academic accomplishment, and extracurricular involvement. Financial Aid selects the recipients, with priority consideration given to applications received by January 15.

Guild History

Guild History

Twenty-five women founded the Valparaiso University Guild on April 13, 1931, as the National Women’s Committee of the Lutheran University Association. The Valparaiso University Guild is proud to share with you an ongoing project to document the history of the Guild, its accomplishments, and the volunteers who continue to support the welfare of the Valparaiso University community.
